Dream Job – Shore Hunter for Royal Caribbean Cruises

Following on from the success of their dream 'intern-ship' role a few years ago, Royal Caribbean Cruises are back with a dream job for travel lovers.  They're currently advertising for the role of shore hunter (aka Global Experience Hunter) with a social media-centric campaign (#shorehunter) to find one very lucky person who will represent the company on Instagram (click here to view the job posting on Instagram).

The opportunity is pretty short term (lasting three weeks) however it will pay well for such a short-term position – £6,000 (that's approximately £104k pro rata) – and could be perfect for a student or even someone in employment who can take a three or four week break from their current role!  You'll also be paid daily expenses too.

So, back to the job itself;  the successful applicant will travel to various countries around the world (the vacancy mentions Alaska, Japan and the Middle East) and to some specific destinations including the idyllic Coco Cay in the Caribbean.  Once there, you'll be required to find and test onshore experiences – sharing your fun along the way on Instagram.

Entries close on 1st March 2019.  In order to apply you will need to be 21+, living in the UK or Ireland with “a passion for travel, exploration and seeking out new and extraordinary experiences around the world” and, of course, be free to travel for three or four weeks consecutively at some point between May and August (2019).   Applicants will need to submit a video application via their Instagram account using the hashtag #shorehunter and entries will be judged by a three person panel named by Royal Caribbean.
