If you're searching for a dream job for a couple, this could be the one for you. Advertised by specialist recruitment agency Greycoat Lumleys, the vacancy seeks a couple to live in County Kerry in the beautiful South West of Ireland.
The role requires a proactive, organised couple who are 'happy to live in a very beautiful and remote location on the coast' (Editor's note: If you are not happy to live in a very beautiful and remote location on the coast, please take some time out and reconsider your life choices).
The successful applicants will be responsible for the general management and maintenance of what sounds like a fabulous weekend/holiday residence for a family who mainly stay there in the summer months (although friends and family also visit throughout the year). The property is required to be kept in a 'walk-in' state at all times so other tasks include some general maintenance, housekeeping, maintaining household supplies and food stocks etc. You will also be expected to assist the gardener, who presumably has his hands full with maintaining the 200 acres of garden and woodland surrounding the property!
In addition to the joint salary of €40,000 to €44,000, the couple will be provided with a two bedroom, two bathroom cottage a five minute walk from the house. So in addition to working together in a beautiful coastal estate, your daily commute will consist of a short stroll surrounded by wonderful scenery.
